Design Brief:

To design a high-tech performance mono-hull patrol boat for the patrol and coastal defence of inland and offshore water ways. This particular patrol boat should keep simplicity in mind to assure ease of build and replacement of components if damaged in a warfare situation. This patrol boat should be 12m LOA and endeavour to provide the upmost in performance and memorability. Lastly it should have a structure that meets class society regulations namely those of DNV.

Design Solution:

To meet the design brief, Allure Marine sought upon utilising previous proven powerboat hull designs and evolving these to suit the new vessel. In conjunction to this process we developed concepts to explore the style and look for our new patrol boat. Through the combination of these two processes we finalised one particular design, which in turn was the basis for physical testing models. These testing models proved our calculations and hydrodynamic simulations that we had earlier produced.

Following on from this initial design phase we further developed features such as the pilothouse, internal arrangements, exterior arrangements, internal structure and powering options.

Through the design processes we now had produced a design that meet our design brief.

 



Structural Design:

The internal structure has been designed to minimise components, retain rigidity, optimum weight and meet regulations of a class society such as DNV.
